Never-Ever Knitting: Knitting 101 with North Fork Knit

A great class for anyone who has never picked up a needle or has very limited knitting experience. Knitting 101 is a two-part class in which participants will knit their very own scarf using Malabrigo chunky yarn. October 30th and November 6th, 2025.

Night 1: 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, October 30th

• Casting on

• Basic knit stitch

• Counting stitches

• Fixing common mistakes

Night 2: 6:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, November 6th

• Casting off

• Weaving in the ends

• 1 Skein Malabrigo Chunky Yarn (included in class price – pick up at Fireweed)

• Size 11 Straight Needles (available at Fireweed, $8.50 retail)

• Tapestry Needle (available at Fireweed)

• Scissors (bring from home!)
